  1. Most exhaustive? Maybe, but it’s thin in some sections. No mention of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation. No mention of GDAL, PROJ.4, PostGIS, or GEOS. The Carbon Project, as usual, gets lumped in with open source (which it’s not). Pointing users to GeoCommunity for info about free and open source software? That’s nuts. Everybody knows FreeGIS.org is the first stop.

  2. OK, how about “GIS resource list, done moderately well”?:-) Bear with us neophytes. Thanks for plugging the gaps.

  3. Hi! My name is Doug Caldwell and I manage the ‘GIS Internet Resources’ site.

Suggestions are very much appreciated, especially links to general topic areas on the site (photogrammetry, remote sensing, cartography, metadata, etc.). As noted in the comment above, we try to point to many pieces of the geospatial puzzle, but prefer to focus on ‘umbrella’ sites which are leaders in their topic areas.

Like other sites, we also appreciate corrections to errors, particularly those relating to emerging technology. We regularly receive comments from users and have posted Sean’s suggested changes.

    Keep ‘em coming!
