Joining Planet Geospatial as a GIS blog aggregator: Geoblogger.eu, an initiative by Austria’s Christian Spanring. I’m not sure if it makes sense to section off English-language European bloggers (GIS knows no borders, right? And what happens when I move to Africa?) but it is certainly nice to be able to browse Spanish, German, French, Finnish and Dutch GIS blogs with one fell click of the mouse.
you’re right with “gis knows no borders”, but since i’m not travelling to often (e.g. conferences) outside of Europe nor do i usually search for finnish or dutch expressions i thought it may be a good idea to give a sort of overview on what’s going on in non-english blogs. maybe i should remove the english blogs because most of them are already aggregated by planet geospatial. would it make sense?
I think that as long as Planet Geospatial doesn’t keep out deserving English-language European blogs then there is no need to duplicate the effort. As for the other languages, I think it is a very good idea.
